Home Visits

Please attend surgery whenever possible. House calls are very time consuming and should only be requested when the patient is genuinely too ill to attend the surgery. If you are not sure, a doctor or nurse will be able to advise you.

If you need a home visit, please ring before 10.00am as this helps the doctors to plan their rounds. Late requests cause delay and disruption to work routines. If your request is urgent, please say so. The receptionist may ask you about your illness to help the doctors determine priorities.

Your own doctor will normally visit, but if he is unavailable one of the other partners will attend. Ill children will always be seen as soon as possible if brought to the surgery (this is usually quicker than a visit). If you are in any doubt about bringing your child out, please telephone the surgery and ask for advice.
